No Make-up Make-up

Today, I was a little short of time, and wanted a really quick makeup look for myself, so I decided to have a first-attempt at 'No Make-up Make-up'.

This was the result I got:

Face: 17 Foundation in 'Natural'
Eyes: Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit in 'Ivory'
Cheeks: Clarins 'Mosaique' Bronzer
Lips: Avon Glazewear lipgloss in 'Clear' with SPF15

However, in my opinion the queen of 'No Make-up Make-up is Lisa Eldridge: Check this video out:

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and here's another picture for the road :)

Quick Post: Coral Beat

I decided to try out my new Avon Polish in 'Coral Beat'. I am on the hunt for the perfect coral colour and thought this would be a fun option.

Looking at it in the bottle, it looks like a bright orange/coral colour that would look amazing and add a statement to your nails.

Please Excuse my awful nail painting skills!

However, when you paint it on to the actual nail, it's very sheer and is quite hard to apply, and to get to a level that I was happy with, I had to apply 3 coats- which is quite excessive for me as I always have never had to do more than two coats.

One thing though- I am impressed with the staying power, my avon polishes hardly ever last more than 2 days without chipping, and this seems to be going strong!

Next coral polish for me to try is 'Coral Reef' by Avon, which is more of a pink/coral.
I'm also purchasing 'Flip Flop Fantasy' by China Glaze, as I saw MacBarbie07 wear it and it looked amazing!

If you have any recommedations of a great coral polish- Please let me know!

Oh How I Love Avon!

One of the many beauty guilty pleasures in my life, one of them, is that of an Avon Catalogue.
Brochure 11 of this year may have been the best brochure I have looked in- BARGAINS GALORE!// I ended up buying 5 items for only £13.00!
Let’s just get straight into them...
The first two things are the ‘Glossy Delight Lip Juices’ which were only £2.00 each in the sale brochure, so I bought two J
The first one I picked out was ‘Succulent Peach’... I mainly bought this one for the smell, as my Aussie hair care products smell like peach and they are amazing! The colour of this in the tube is a pretty coral-y pink with barely any shimmer, so great for just a wash of colour over the lips.

The second shade I got is ‘Delicious Honeydew’ and let me tell you, it really is delicious! (By the way... they don’t taste good- they just smell good). // Firstly the colour of this is gorgeous! It’s a pearly pink with tons of pink and gold shimmer and gives such a pretty sheer sparkle to the lips. // Secondly: The smell... it’s divine! It’s a gorgeous Honeydew melon scent (obviously) which reminds me of these whistle pops i used to get when I was younger J

The last lip product I bought was a ‘Glazewear Clear Lipgloss’ with SPF15. Just a summer essential really.

Lastly I bought two nail colours- both coral.
The first is ‘Coral Beat’, a BRIGHT orange/coral colour that would look great on any skin tone but amazing on darker or tan skin. I’ll post a swatch on the nails when I have it on, but this is it in the bottle:

The final thing I bought was ‘Coral Reef’ and it’s an absolutely gorgeous shade of coral! I would describe it to be a neon pink/coral and again would look lovely on any skin tone but would pop on those with darker or tan skin

P.S. My next post will probably come this weekend J
Also my St. Moritz tanning mousse is on the way so expect a review!
FINALLY! I ordered my ‘Scruffy Little Cat’ bag today! Beyond excited! AAAAAH (Fan Girl Scream)

SEX AND THE CITY: LASHES!!

While I was browsing the shelves at Boots last weekend I happened to come across these babies and decided that as I was attending a hen party on Friday, it would be a great idea to finally try out some false eyelashes!
Yes... I was a false eyelash virgin!

They had quite a few styles to choose from such as the other girls from Sex and the City, Girls Aloud and Naturalites. Most of the styles available though were WAY too adventurous for me to even consider trying as a first time user.
I eventually decided (after 10 minutes of evaluating the different styles) to try the Sex and the City: Miranda lashes, which are quite a natural lash with added glamour, by making the lashes thicker on the outer edge. Not outrageous- but still had a little bit of oomph! Just what I wanted.

Before even attempting to apply them, I decided to scour YouTube (my fountain of knowledge) to find a video on how to apply my lashes. I decided on watching xsparkage's video:

Super informative.

The overall lash application was pretty easy- apart from the fact that I got glue EVERYWHERE... I really need to work on that- or Eylure need to work on the packaging of LashFix- it drips everywhere...
After I applied them and added another quick coat of mascara, I was so happy with the results- they looked super natural and I got a ton of compliments!!
They ended up lasting me 2 uses, which I thought was good considering how thin they are!

Me with the lashes in :)

Overall, I would definitely buy this style again, and now that I am addicted to false lashes I am dying to try more styles, so if anyone can recommend any amazing styles, comment below!

Next I'm trying the Girls Aloud:Kimberley style- expect a post on Sunday or Monday!!

xoxo
